Nan's Home Watch Services adds an extra level of security to your property while you are away. Having a person overseeing your real property routinely assures a comprehensive physical inspection that is preventative in nature and protects your investments with clearly communicated results. The services are custom-tailored to your needs and grant an extra level of security and peace of mind while you are away. Benefits also include creating the appearance of a place that is occupied & being monitored, inspection of technician's services to be sure they have been completed to your satisfaction, preventing and/or taking care of small problems before they become costly repairs, and working with you in real time to address requests or issues at your direction, in advance of your return.



Nan Schwappach is a retired attorney, a mediator and a spiritual director, now in a new phase of her life and poised to serve as your home watch professional.


The first twenty-five years of her life were focused on justice, wherein she practiced law and mediation. The following decade her emphasis shifted to training and educating professionals in the workplace related to improving personal and professional competencies based on their internal strengths and authority. Thereafter, involvement with hospice and caring for family members with illness furthered her spiritual deepening and led her to pursue certified training and formation in contemplative spiritual guidance and companionship. More recently a new phase of her life has unfolded as she has been recruited and entrusted to care for friends and neighbors properties while they travel or spend more time at their second homes. While she continues to spiritually companion clients virtually, she also provides customized home watch services to a select clientele.

Nan's Home Watch offers customized service with the kind of attention to detail that an alarm system simply cannot provide .


NAN'S HOME WATCH SERVICES


EXTERIOR INSPECTION INCLUDES:

  • Entry door(s) for damage or attempted access

  • Any obvious animal or pest related damage to outside of home

  • Performance of service technicians (i.e. repairs, snow removal, lawn care)

  • Retrieval of exterior mail, newspapers, packages and errant flyers

INTERIOR INSPECTION INCLUDES:

  • Windows & doors for attempted access, leakage or damage

  • Floors, walls, ceilings, trim, light fixtures for leakage or damage

  • Any obvious evidence of insects or pests throughout the home

  • Thermostat and humidity settings & readings

  • Run water in kitchen faucets & check for leaks under sink

  • Operate garbage disposal

  • Check refrigerator(s) & freezer(s)

  • Attached Garage for evidence of water, insects, pests or damage

  • Water Heaters for any obvious leaks or corrosion

  • Run faucets in all bathrooms, check for leaks under sinks

  • Flush toilets, check for leaks & proper functioning

  • Performance of service providers (i.e. appliance repairs, painters, remodelers)

Additional services may be added:

  • Coordinate Repair or Maintenance Services

  • Grant Access (to vendors/service providers)

  • Waiting Services (for service, repair, delivery, installation, etc.)

  • Package Delivery ( await and bring in packages delivered to property)

  • Auto Care (start vehicles)

  • Grocery Shopping & Stocking

  • Water plants (pursuant to number of visits)

  • Other services arranged and mutually agreed upon

Rates

Fees for services range from $40 on up for an inspection, based on size and square footage of the property, frequency of inspections & and any additional services requested.
